Voices are free to speak is a God given freedom. God spoke creation into existence. Gen. 1:3 “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” God watched Adam freely speak names for the animals. Gen. 2:19 “…God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them…” Adam freely named the animals will God watched as a loving Father.
In the garden of Eden God freely spoke guidelines to follow and what will happen if you freely go outside those guidelines. Those guidelines were free to obey and free to disobey. To obey God’s words was without sacrifice, but to disobey God’s words had a sacrifice with eternal consequences.
Gen. 2:16 “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:” v17 “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” God made it simple and clear. All trees in the garden are good to eat from, except one tree. The one tree will bring death – 99 good, 1 bad.
Freedom of speech does not take away your right to be deceived. “You Have the Right to be Deceived“, but the words of truth from God was a warning of what will happen if you freely accept the deception or freely choose the disobedience. God did not stop the words coming out of the devil’s mouth. God spoke freely. Adam and Eve spoke freely. The devil spoke freely. Freedom can be good or do evil.
Gen. 3:1 “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast… And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall NOT eat of every tree of the garden?” The devil twisted and mixed God’s two sentences of “…every tree of the garden…” and “…thou shalt not eat…“. The devil made the good trees one with the evil tree just like his present state. The devil was once an all good angel and then he took in evil eternally corrupting himself. He wanted the same evil end result for the children made in God’s image. Eve corrected him on the dying part is only with that one tree.
v4 “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall NOT surely die:” The woman stayed with God that you will die and the devil said from his own corrupt self you won’t die. The words you believe determine your destiny. This is where God pointed my thoughts towards mankind of “You Have the Right to be Deceived“. It is totally a freedom of choice. The devil added the word “not” in front of “surely die“. God did not say this things, the devil did. We all have the right to be deceived or search for truth, but no one has the right to escape the results and accountability of those choices. Did the devil get by with his corruption?
5 “For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” The devil just out right lied without mixing and adding words. God said none of this, but the devil is saying this on his own implying this is what God knows. The devil is speaking for God. Be careful when anyone speaks for God. Do your research and pray. There are only two main beings at this moment that have the knowledge of good and the knowledge of evil. What is the status of these two beings? What is their present condition?
God is still God and has not changed. He has the knowledge of good and the knowledge of evil. Why do you think God warned Adam and Eve of the consequences of mixing their good knowledge with evil knowledge? God is the ONLY ONE who can handle the knowledge of evil and with the power to keep it separated, contained, and controlled. God is still good and the knowledge of evil has no control over Him. God never intended for any of His creations to be mixed with the knowledge of evil.
The devil was once an angel of good known as Lucifer, son of the morning. What happened to him after mixing good with evil that he was offering to Adam and Eve? Lucifer was cut down to the ground losing his angelic status to complete eternal devil. All because he freely thought he could go to heaven, exalt himself above the stars of God, sit on the mount in front of everyone, and keep going above the tops of the clouds making himself the Most High. Is. 14:12-16 It is simple, don’t try to be something else than what God created you for. It will bring nothing, but evil and corrupt results.
The devil’s status and condition was cut down as fast as lightning. Luke 10:18 “And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” Lucifer went from being an angel of perfection, full of wisdom, and perfect beauty to disgrace, banishment, corruption, and a spectacle to all Ezk. 28:12-17. He was consumed with lusts, murder, not staying in truth, and all truth was lost to him. Jn. 8:44 “…When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” Knowledge of evil kills your soul and this is what the devil in the garden was selling to Adam and Eve.
The devil was the one who was using the freedom of speech on Adam and Eve. He was the source implying “not every tree“, “not surely die“, and you “shall be as gods“. Does this look familiar to you? His speech was promoting do as he did and eat from the tree God said not to, you won’t die, and you will even be like God Himself. Does the devil really look like a god from his free choices? Does he seem to be a reliable source? Are you buying what he is selling? “You Have the Right to be Deceived“, but no one has the right to escape the results and accountability of those choices.
God allows the freedom of speech because He is looking to what you will do after that freedom of speech has entered your ears. You may want to read that sentence again. Adam and Eve were in no danger while talking. The devil had no power. He could talk all he wanted. Adam and Eve had all the power over the earth. The danger came after the talking was done, all words were spoken, and their freedom of choice taking action dictated the outcome. “You Have the Right to be Deceived” or in Adam’s case wanted to be something else than what God created him.
Eve accepted the deception and Adam was not deceived, therefore it leads you to believe Adam wanted the knowledge of evil mixed in with his God given knowledge of good for a reason. 1 Tim. 2:14 “And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived…” 2 Cor. 11:3 “…as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty…” Maybe, Adam in this moment was like Lucifer wanting something God had that He did not share with others?
I believe there is perfect reason why God did not originally create anything with the knowledge of evil in them because God knew He was the only one who could totally control, contain, and keep separate the knowledge of evil. Only the One True God could keep it in its place. This explains why God Himself had to come inside of Jesus the man to pay the eternal debt mankind owed to sin. Eternal debt for eternal payment through temporary flesh to restore eternal life once again for mankind, His children.
We all have the right to be deceived from the freedom of speech, but the choice after hearing the freedom of speech is what condemns us or sets us free. After the freedom of speech comes the next God given right is the freedom of choice. Eve’s choice was accepting the words of the devil on face value. Adam’s choice was from still knowing the truth, but wanting something else. They both ended up with the same judgment of eternal death, hell, and the grave for all of mankind.
Freedom of speech can come from anyone good, evil, or a mixture of both, which is still evil. “You Have the Right to be Deceived” like Eve or a clear mind to choose like Adam. It is the freedom of choice you make that determines the end result for your life and those you influence. We have a ton of people speaking today and it is up to our choice to accept or to research verifying if it is the truth.
I have seen in what few years I have existed in this world the results of the choices Adam and Eve had made. I have seen the results of what the devil was selling to Adam and Eve. I have come to the conclusion that I don’t want what Adam and Eve chose or what the devil was selling and is selling to a lot of people today. I want to go back with what God wanted originally with mankind before sin entered the world. What God was selling was a far better deal than what the devil was selling.
How do we get what God is handing out? Obviously, the world is filled and mixed with the knowledge of good and the knowledge of evil. There is pure good, complete evil, and the twisted part of good mixed with part evil all around us in this world. The only way for pure good is to do what God says without compromise unlike Adam and Eve compromising God’s word bringing all the evil into the world.
God told Adam and Eve what it would take to live in the garden of Eden. God has given mankind a second chance to re-enter a life like as the garden of Eden. The only difference is the one evil tree surrounded with good trees in the garden of Eden back then is the opposite today. Born again people are surrounded with evil and there is only one good tree we can eat from that God has provided.
What is that one good tree God has provided? In the garden of Eden there was a tree called the tree of life. It was the opposite of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you ate of the tree of life you would live forever in whatever state you were in. If you ate of the tree of life then the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you would be in a death state forever like the devil. Simple understanding of the two trees is one you would be feeling great and the other you would be in never ending suffereing.
It is too late for us to get to the tree of life in the garden of Eden because God closed off access to the garden of Eden and placed an angelic security around the tree of life. Gen. 3:22, 24 Here is the good news that we don’t have to try to find the garden of Eden and attempt fighting angelic security to get to the tree of life. God has provided another freedom along with speech and choice to get to the tree of life.
Adam and Eve chose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil condemning all of mankind to an eternal death of torment originally only meant for the fallen angels. Rom. 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” We all fall short of making it to the tree of life. God has made up the difference.
Here is where the tree of life is waiting for us: Rev. 2:7 “To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” You just said we all have sinned and come short and now you are saying “…to him that overcometh…“? All you and I need is the “…him that overcometh…“. God provided a “him” for us to go through to get to the tree of life.
We can make it through the “him“, Jesus Christ that God sent to overcome where we all fell short. Through Jesus we can Rev. 22:1, 2 walk down by the river of the water of life that is clear as crystal flowing out from the throne the man Jesus and the Creator God sit upon. Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” All things are possible through Jesus.
The question is how do we go through Jesus and be that “…him that overcometh…“? Apostle Paul reminded the Roman Christian church on which they were founded that when we are Rom. 6:3 “…baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death.” v4 “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Submerged water baptism puts us inside Jesus Christ applying his death to us by his name.
If you want to on the inside Jesus there are three elements of being born again, which places you inside Jesus, the body of him that overcometh. The way is through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We have to experience these three things without physically dying, being physically buried, and we don’t have the physical power of resurrection, but Jesus does.
Jesus died on the cross physically taking all of mankind’s sins into his fleshly body. This takes care of the falling short of the glory of God for us. He was buried in a tomb and on the third day he arose again alive with a new body. The born again of the water and of the Spirit is how we go through the death, burial, and resurrection with him.
For us to experience death is where we make the freedom of choice to repent, dying out to sin, and turn our backs on all wicked ways. For us to be buried with him is us being submerged completely under water saying in name of Jesus Christ over us, which symbolizes being buried with him, though ours is a watery grave and his was in a tomb. At that moment of saying the name of Jesus Christ over us in the water it applies his powerful blood of forgiveness while washing away our sins. Coming up out of the water is how we experience the resurrection along with receiving the power of his Holy Spirit creating a new creature of Christ in us.
Apostle Peter preached the steps of salvation in Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Obeying this scripture puts you on the path of the tree of life. This one scripture is like it was with Adam and Eve, but only in reverse. We all have the condemnation of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and this scripture is the one tree among all the other trees to bring us eternal life and set us free.
You and I are standing before this world with them revealing to us that “You Have the Right to be Deceived” and the truth is we can choose to stay with God’s word. Adam and Eve chose to NOT follow God’s word with the horrible results we see today. You can choose churches today that do NOT follow exactly what God’s word says selling you bits and pieces, adding and taking away God’s word to fit their desires. Sounds similar what the devil did. Accepting anything as the plan of salvation may not show you the results here on earth until it is too late when you go there before God in His judgment seat. Do you want to gamble like Adam and Eve, taking that chance with your eternal soul?
I don’t want what Adam and Eve chose, nor do I want what the devil or mankind is selling. I only want the one way, the one truth, and the one life that will get me back to the Father. Jn. 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” I encourage you to walk everyday in the fellowship of Jesus Christ and God’s Spirit. Now, is the time to hear the voice of God freely flowing in the oneness of choice living an overcoming life and to hear Him finally call you His good and faithful servant.
