Praying with God I saw someone standing beside a small creek with the sunlight beaming through the trees, shining upon the green grass with a clear glass of water in hand, watching the water flow by so smoothly and effortlessly. At that moment a vision of understanding entered my mind like a spiritual light was shining upon my thoughts.
The creek has a steady unstoppable stream of water flowing endlessly and I see a flower a few feet away that I believe it needed a drink. The person walks over taking the clear glass of water and gently pouring it upon the flower believing a good deed has been done and a blessing has fallen upon the flower.
Then God begins to speak to me showing me a parallel to the vision I saw of “Flowing With God“. As I heard in my thoughts “Flowing With God” I instantly answered that thought with “I want to flow with God just like the water” with the same effortlessly and in peace.
I looked at the water in the creek thinking to myself to flow with it I would have to be in a total state of willingness and no resistance. I would have to let God flow freely as Himself without me having any contrary thoughts or an attitude questioning the direction He wants to go. To be like the water I cannot be like a rock of solid resistance having an attitude of “my way or the highway“. It would be a believing freely open and trusting to the desires of God.
God spoke to me saying, there is a difference from flowing with Me and flowing beside Me. There are people who flow with God in doing the works that God desires. They are the people who fulfill the scripture: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Romans 8:14) Being led by the Spirit of God is flowing in the same direction God’s Spirit wants to work and the person that is doing this is flowing inside with God.
God went on to tell me saying, there are people who are flowing beside Me, but not within Me. This caused me to pause as to what He means. He focused my eyes upon the clear glass of water. He replayed the walking over to the flower and pouring out the water that was in the glass blessing the flower with a drink of refreshing life.
There are people who are the glass filled with good intentions and good works that pour their lives out over their lifetime doing good deeds, but their water runs out, their glass is empty, and death has taken them from this world. They are no more and their life is over with, but the water God gives never runs out from everlasting to everlasting.
Are your works in the glass or are your works flowing in the oneness with God? You can spend a lifetime of doing good and it will end, but a lifetime flowing with God never ends. Your water with God never runs out. Just like these shared understandings could bless someone to deeper things in God changing them forever. That is my intention, hope, and prayer.
Again, instantly I wanted to be flowing in God with an endless oneness in His water of eternal life refreshing not just one, but all who chooses to taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalms 34:8).
Now, standing beside a small creek with the sunlight beaming through the trees shining upon the green grass watching the water flow by with a clear glass of water in my hand, seeing a flower in need of water taking the glass of water and gently pouring it upon the flower has a whole different meaning comparing the limited water a person can have within themselves and the endless flowing water in God.
As I was thinking about the water, God pointed to the woman at the well He spoke with. God speaking through Jesus the man said, “…Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (Jn. 4:13, 14).
If we are flowing in the oneness with God and He is flowing within us there will be no need for any water because it is flowing all around us and in us – readily available. The woman was thinking of the physical water in the well separate from her, but Jesus was talking about the flowing fellowship of His Spirit springing up within her refreshing her spirit with everlasting life.
The woman changed the subject to the places acceptable to worshipping God. Jesus kept the flow focused on the oneness of everlasting water that it will not be restricted to the mountain nor in Jerusalem to worship God, but the hour will come true worshippers will worship God in spirit and in truth and this is what God wants because God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:20-24).
Jesus directed her thoughts back towards God and what it takes to be in oneness with Him not just here in the mountains or in Jerusalem. Spirit and in truth is the worship that is flowing in the same direction God is going and without them there is a limitation of spiritual water in your life.
The “Flowing With God” started when God poured His Spirit out on some people who were praying and worshipping (Acts 2). They experienced what Jesus told the woman at the well. It is not physical water, but Spirit given water from God. As the people were praying the Holy Spirit of God came upon them, went down inside their words of prayer and praise, rebirthing their spirit with everlasting life, and the power of God springing back up in oneness with their spirit speaking words of another language they did not know as a sign they were born again of the Spirit of God (Acts 2:1-4,16, 17, 21, 38, 39; Jn. 3:5, 6).
“Flowing With God” starts with agreeing and obeying the direction God chooses to go. He chose water baptism in Jesus name and the infilling of His Holy Spirit as His plan of salvation. There are many plans out in the world as to their ideas of God’s plan of salvation, but they are people standing by God’s flowing water using their own glass of water pretending to be in God when in reality they are only beside God.
God took me to the place where He said, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Calling Jesus Lord and doing the will of God are two different things. One is from the glass of water and the other is from the endless flow in the oneness with God’s water. The glass will only help a few, but God’s water will help more than a person can ask or think (Eph. 3:20).
God continued to say, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?” This is a scary thing, but clearly someone who believes they are one with God, but truly are only beside God doing what they want to do in His name. It is clear God honors His name inside or out of His water.
In their glass they felt their water was anointed by God to prophesy, cast out devils, and other wonderful works, but they were not doing the will of God or fulfilling the “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.“
He told me this goes back to the what He said to the woman at the well that we MUST worship in spirit and in truth. God wants us in His Spirit and in His Truth and not our own private glass of water of interpretations. Or we will find ourselves out of His water with Him telling us in judgment day, “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Mtt. 7:21-23)
“Flowing With God” means exactly as it sounds – with God. The choice is ours. I don’t want to stand by the creek watching from the outside with my limited self water of earthly life. Our tomorrows are not guaranteed and time is limited as to what we can do. The water in our glass will appear before others for a while and turn into a vapor vanishing away (Ja. 4:14).
I want to be flowing in the peace that passes all understanding (Phil. 4:7) as a new creature in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17) having access to the fellowship of God imparting His knowledge and wisdom that is first pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be shared, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. (Ja. 3:17)
But I must be born again of the water and of the Spirit (Jn 3:1-5) to get into the flowing with God to in order not be one of those thinking they were in God when actually they were outside beside God. The birth into God’s water is being baptized in Jesus applying the blood of forgiveness that is in that name washing away all sins. The birth into God’s Spirit is the same as to what happened to those people praying and worshipping.
To get into a prayer mode with God worshipping Him with an attitude of “God I want what You want” in spirit and in truth expecting His living everlasting Holy Spirit to come upon you with His changing power going inside your body to your spirit, rebirthing your spirit by His Spirit, and with the power of God springing back up in oneness with your spirit speaking words of another language you do not know as a sign to yourself you have been born again of the Spirit of God (Acts 2:4).
You may feel you cannot have this kind of experience, feeling unworthy, or it was just for the apostles. I thought the same thing until I found God’s out pouring of His Spirit never stopped. There is no scripture that says He stopped doing this.
In fact, many other people outside the apostles including gentiles received the Holy Spirit the same way. This baptism in Jesus name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with signs is a promise to them back then and to all generations to come (Acts 2:39).
God’s water of life has never stopped flowing. Only mankind has made it seem so standing by God’s everlasting flowing water speaking in His name from only their glass of water. Search the scriptures and prayer to God for His truth and join Him with your spirit unto everlasting life.
I hope we meet in heaven rejoicing together that we made it. May richly bless you and keep safe in these last days.
