I Should Have Been Somebody Else

Starting at a young age walking through the memories of things spoken and things done, the thought of “I Should Have Been Somebody Else” takes front stage in your mind, heart, and soul. The “what if” steps in and says the outcome of your actions should have taken you down a different path turning you into someone else. The roller coaster ride of emotions takes you from the high dropping you down into the low state of depression, sadness, and the wishing things were different.

I feel this message is from God hearing your thoughts and silent prayers for change. He wants you to know He hears you and feels your pain. He is calling out to you during this time to “try Him” because you have tried everything else. He hears you, just listen to Him saying, “try Me“.

BAD THINGS

Do you think about the person that got you to try something that has a history of being an addiction? They pressured you into “come on, try it“. You tried it and continued to do it under the pressure of that person or persons in your young life. Now, you look back and think of the addiction that “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“.

Looking back at the memories of the smoking, the drugs, the alcohol, the sex, and the breaking of the law you know “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. Cancer, withered bodies, liver diseases, perversions, and the jails is where you should have been. You and some of those around you ended up being that person, or you can see that could have easily been you.

Some of you are thinking I should have been pregnant. I should have been a teenage father or mother. I should have been an drug addict. I should have been in jail. I should have been dead. I should have been an alcoholic. I should have been in the worse of worse situations.

I am a drug addict and “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. I am a chain smoker with horrible health issues and “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. I am an alcoholic and “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. I am hooked on sex and “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. I am criminal and “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. I do have children with other people and “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“.

Life beats me up everyday when I open my eyes, go do my daily thing, and realizing this is not me. “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. I am in a prison without bars. My jailer is doing my daily routine and going home. I am empty when people around thing I am okay. They have no idea I wish I was somebody else, doing something else, and living somewhere else.

DOING SOMETHING ELSE

I’ve done my time trying to make a living day by day, fighting the addictions, and trying to say no. The work I am doing is not satisfying as to what I think I should be doing. “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. I am trying to make things right and it does not seem I can get back there where “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. The invisible bars of time have me marching the repetitive halls turning and repeat.

I Should Have Been Somebody Else” like a teacher in school watching kids faces light up with the light bulb of understanding when they get it. “I Should Have Been Somebody Else” like a coach passing on the “you can do it” confidence builder. “I Should Have Been Somebody Else” like a fireman, a police officer, a medical person, a preacher/missionary, a better father, a better mother, or just a good person.

I do what I do hoping one day I could be that someone else. I feel like life has trapped me into doing what I do and won’t let me out. There is no good answer or a good way out. “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. The good I have done is not enough and the bad I have done was too much. I need to be that somebody else to feel the true freedom of my soul.

BAD DECISIONS

Looking back in your mind at all the decisions made from the youth and to the present. I have absolutely no doubt “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. Cain killed his brother Abel out of jealousy. If I had not killed my brother “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. King David lusted over another man’s wife and committed adultery with her. If I had only focused my desire in the right direction “I Should Have Been Somebody Else” that was much stronger. Pharaoh’s stubbornness hurt his people and brought death to many people. If I had only obeyed God “I Should Have Been Somebody Else” and the people would be safe.

If I had just said no to the “just try it, you’ll like it” pressure. I would not have the scars in my memories. If I had just passed on the alcohol pressure and drank a soda laughing with them. I would not be deceived by the alcohol telling me the stress is gone, all is well, and just feel good. If I had said no to him or her I would not have the memories of drawing others into the physical fleshly endorphins. If I had just said no and did something else I would not be in trouble with the law. The “what ifs” can make you image the “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“.

All the decisions that I have made could have gone in so many different directions. The “what if” I had chose better routes screams loudly at me “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. The waves of thoughts show me I could have been a good person and/or I could have been a really bad person.

GOOD OR BAD

If you think you are a good person or a bad person you can still have the thoughts “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. The greatest comfort you could ever have in your life is the God factor. Having God in your life helps with what you thought your future should have been. Having fellowship with God everyday helps with the day to day grind when you think you should be doing something else.

People around you may not believe in you or your abilities, but God loves you just as you are even if you think you messed up the plan He had for your life. God will help you with your past decisions, your past actions, and your past failures. The Bible is full of people with a wide spectrum of failures and God helped them to make things right in the end.

I agree with you that “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“, but you are not. The “somebody” you are right now in the present is the most important. Not in the past or in the future, but what you are right now is the most important. When you and I physically die it will not be in the past or in the future. Our death will be in the present status and condition of our soul. How is your present relationship with God?

Don’t let the thoughts of “I should’ve been somebody else, somewhere else, and doing something else” tear you down. Live right now in the present with God, who gives you that second chance that no one else can. You do not have the power within yourself to change the past or change the present without bringing more harm.

The drugs, alcohol, sex, and breaking the law will never give the peace for the torched soul within your body. Your flesh has only momentarily highs, but your soul is starving eternally to death. Everything in the world is temporary substance, but your soul can only be fed eternal substance for true satisfaction.

The somebody else you want to be should be the somebody who is loved and accepted by God, no matter the status quo this world places upon you. No one can fight the loneliness and unsatisfied life you are living like God can. The fellowship with His Spirit and His word will take you places with spiritual highs far beyond all the pleasures this limited world can give you. What the world gives is only a short time of death, but what God gives you is all life.

GOD IS BIGGER

When you read God’s word you find Jn. 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loves you for who you are and not the somebody you think you should be. If you lock your faith and belief upon Him the gift is going to be beyond the self you are that is perishing daily to the person who has everlasting life.

Say with all your mind, heart, and soul, I believe in you, God. I am walking your way to talk with you and to explore a relationship with you to see where it may go. Immediately, you feel a warm light glowing from within your heart and your mind when you lock down this decision. Now, you are open to what God has to say.

What do I need to do to get this beyond this world relationship going? God wants to fulfill and satisfy “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“. You should be one of His, under His protection, and have a one way ticket to heaven. The things of this world have all of mankind in a bondage of pretending to satisfy, but never able to truly finish the job completely. It always leave you wanting more.

Praying is simply talking to God as yourself and not a form of speech from others. God has a gift for all of us releasing us from the bondage and limits of this world. To open that door of fellowship with God is to turn your back on the awful things of this world. In the Bible it is known as repenting and turning away. Talking to God is letting Him know you are done with the lying and sinful things you have tried in this world.

God provided a way of escape from this world’s slavery upon your soul and the temptations of your flesh. God came to this world inside of Jesus the man to free us from sin by his pure and innocent blood, paying the price of death in our place, but coming back to life from the grave creating a doorway to heaven.

God offers this open door to wash away in complete forgiveness all past sins and present sins from your life. Once you step through this door you will be placed inside the household God has created for you inside the body of Jesus Christ. If you are baptized, submerged under water, in the name of Jesus Christ the power of his blood from the sacrifice of his body on the cross will be applied to you washing away all your sins. You will have a forgiven and clean slate before God. Doesn’t that sound awesome? That is a somebody I want to be.

God is not finished with you, yet. It has only begun. God has a gift for you. In your fellowshipping prayers/talk with God He said, Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” Wow, God wants to visit you personally and give you the power of His presence inside you, the Holy Spirit. You want to change “I Should Have Been Somebody Else“? God wants to give you the power to change yourself and a package deal of Him being with you in fellowship forever.

You can be anywhere praying/talking with God for Him to give you the power of His Spirit. You can be home, your apartment, in your parked vehicle, outside with nature, or anywhere else that no one can interfere with your talk with God to receive this gift from Him.

How will you know this power of the Holy Ghost comes upon you? Well, there were some people praying in an upstairs room that the power of God’s Spirit came upon them, went down inside their soul, and came back out changing their native language words into the power of the Spirit words and language God was guiding them to speak Acts 2:2-4. This was a sign to them they had receive the power of the Holy Ghost. This is absolutely real power from on high redeeming your eternal soul to an acceptable status with God.

This sounds amazing and beyond this world. Well, it is God touching your eternal soul with His eternal Spirit gifting you with a sample of what heaven will be like completely free from the sins of this world. I know the questions are just flooding your mind. This is a promise from God to those in the Bible then, to all generations and to us today Acts 2:39 until He comes back to the earth to close out the rest of His promises. You can start having a spiritual oneness fellowship with God right now.

I Should Have Been Somebody Else“, is God calling you to be one of His children and to stop beating yourself up with what you think you should be in this world. You should be getting higher on God than the drugs. You should be drinking deeply of God’s Spirit, quenching your everlasting thirst more than alcohol could ever do. You should be experiencing spiritual highs that the tallest mountain in the world, the highest atmosphere of the earth, and the farthermost planet in the universe could ever offer.

God offers you an endless journey, discovering yourself, and knowing Him that is a satisfaction beyond all things. What you must do to enter into God’s beautiful fellowship is wrapped up in one scripture.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Welcome to being the somebody you could not have imagined of ever becoming to be. May your walk with God be an endless journey of wonderous truths.

Breathe of God

Jn. 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Have you ever wondered about Jesus saying the wind blows where it wants to according to it’s will? The birth of the Spirit has a will and blows upon whomever it chooses. Nicodemus saw in his mind the born again of the water as entering his mother’s womb a second time as a grown man confusing. The born of the water is easy to understand, being baptized in water, in Jesus name washing away all sins Acts 2:38 ;not entering your fleshly mother’s womb a second time. Nicodemus even asked Jesus, “How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

Born again of the water was Jesus speaking of his future of dying on the cross, taking all the sins of the world upon himself, and with his pure blood paying the eternal sin debt for all of mankind 1 Cor. 5:21. Born again of the water was not really as tough to imagine by Nicodemus due to John was baptizing people preparing the way for Jesus to come along with the complete plan of salvation.

Being born of the Spirit was a whole different situation with Nicodemus. He had no idea what this could mean. The wind blows where it wants to, you can hear the sound, you cannot see where it is coming from or where it is going and that is how it is with someone being born of the Spirit? The wind sounds like God going where He wants to go, lets His presence be known, and not knowing His coming and going.

God goes where He wants to. He allows us to hear Him. We do not see the direction He comes to us. We do not see where He is going. Those who are born again of His Spirit happens because God chooses them to receive it. God gives the person a sound from their voice that He is inside them. God fills people in places you would not expect and He goes to other people we don’t know about.

Sounds like a room on a second floor of a house and not a church setting Acts 2, a town of Samaria that had only been baptized in Jesus name needed the infilling of the Holy Ghost birth Acts 8:14-16, and it sounds like going to a forbidden house speaking the words God wanted spoken and while the speaker was speaking, the wind/God, came upon the people listening, the people starting speaking a sound of words and a language the wind/God was giving them as a sign to Peter the born again of the Spirit is for everyone Acts 10:34-48.

Back to the wind/God, Jesus was speaking about in the born again of the Spirit conversation. The wind blows where it wants to, you can hear it’s presences, you can’t tell where it came from or where it is going. Gen. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” God is a Spirit Jn. 4:24 and wind is something we can understand on our level relating to God as a Holy Spirit. The wind is invisible, yet we know it is there.

Wind is like the air and air is invisible like God. You cannot see it, but you believe it because you are breathing it. God can make the wind stand still like air and you not know He is there. God is there. God can make the air move in a solid invisible form moving objects physically seen and heard by us. God is here, there, and everywhere.

God showed a man that thought he was alone and wanted to die, that in truth he is not alone. God is with him in the very air that he breathes. God made a powerful earthy wind pass by in front of him ripping the rocks of the mountain. God made a powerful earthquake shake before him. God made an earthly fire burn before him, but God was not in them. God spoke right beside this man from the air he was breathing in a still small voice 1 Kings 19:11-13. That man was Elijah. God is a Spirit that is All Knowing, All Present, and All powerful.

The wind Jesus is talking about is God being right there with you and could breathe His Holy Spirit upon you no matter where you are, if you will accept Him. The born again of the Spirit is the reuniting the relationship God tried to have in the beginning with Adam and Eve. Adam’s birth is a reflection of the born again of the water and of the Spirit through Jesus today.

God did not speak Adam’s living soul into life. God breathed His Spirit/Wind upon Adam then Adam became a living soul, inside a fleshly body, formed in the image, and likeness of God. If God were of a solid form.

The parallel of being born of the spirit is where Adam is lying there lifeless and dead at the beginning of creation. God’s wind/Spirit goes where it wants to, you can hear God’s wind/Spirit, but cannot tell from where it is coming or going. God breathes into Adam the breath of life creating a living soul. Gen. 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Adam experienced the first birth of the Spirit of Life for mankind, waking with ability to speak words and a language God created in him.

The sound of that wind of eternal life was heard when Adam spoke from deep within himself. God is not a God of doing nothing with His Knowledge, His Presence, and His Power. God is a speaking, doing, and maintaining God. Words and language is crucial with God. That’s why when God is in something there is a sound that identifies His presence. Just like Jesus was trying to explain to Nicodemus that is why you hear the sound thereof the born again of the Spirit experience.

Adam was alive by God’s Spirit/wind speaking the names by inspiration of God for all the animals that was brought before him. God was actually there with Adam just waiting for the words to come out for each animal Gen 2:19. God was watching Adam that was made in His image and likeness walk and talk like any loving Father would do for his first born son.

Keep in mind God did not speak Adam’s living soul into life by words, but by God’s breathe/wind breathing upon him. When Adam sinned against God, it separated a father from his son. His son was now owned by death and sin. To buy his son back the cost would be a sacrifice of a death payment, but no ordinary death payment. Evil wants God to die, but He cannot because you cannot kill a Spirit. God promised Adam and Eve a son will come along to pay their debt for them in the future. God’s creation of salvation.

Nicodemus was sitting before that chosen son, Jesus. This is what Jesus was telling Nicodemus about being born again of the water and of the spirit. The water baptism is symbolic of being dead like Adam before God’s breathe of life, but now through the death of Jesus in water baptism with the power of his pure blood to wash away sins. The receiving of the Holy Spirit is God once again able to breathe the breath of life into us a new living creature’s redeemed soul freed from the debt and judgment of sin.

The wind blows where it wants to and you hear the sound thereof. Adam was God’s son when he spoke the words and language God gave him to name the animals and proclaim Eve as his bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh Gen 2:19, 23. The sign of God’s Spirit inside you is when you speak the words and language God gives you. The born again of the Spirit is no different.

This is why you read about the people praying on the second floor after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ that a mighty rushing wind filled all the house where they were sitting Acts 2. Nicodemus here is the born again of the Spirit. Elijah here is the still small voice of power whispering in your ear. Adam here is the born again from death to redeeming life. God’s creation of salvation.

In this room with the wind/God blowing where it wants to go, hearing the sound thereof, coming and going inside of each person, speaking the words, and language by which God wanted to speak. The speaking words and language came from what appeared to be tongues above each of them surrounded with Spirit purifying fire coming down upon them, going inside them with their spirit, and coming back out with their voice speaking the words and language God wanted spoken as a sign to them and to those nearby.

Adam spoke freely the words and language God gave him because he was created in purity. Adam did not need fire, a death payment, or resurrection in the beginning. After sin took over mankind and corrupted him. Mankind needed a purification for his soul and a new body without sin. Jesus provided this purification and sanctification through his blood, death, burial, and resurrection. This is what John meant about being baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire Mtt. 3:11.

The born again of the Spirit for us today needed purification. We are all born with a tongue that speaks evil like a fire defiling our whole body with the flames of hell and no man can tame this unruly evil full of deadly poison James 3:6, 7, but God. This explains inside that second floor room that the wind there was the Holy Spirit as tongues of fire from God breathing upon each of them, going inside and back out through their voices with words and a language God wanted to speak good things for all to see the sign of His born again Spirit presence Acts 2:1-4.

Nicodemus you will know the born again of the Spirit like as the wind blowing, hearing the sound, coming and going where it pleases. You will know. The people outside this second floor could hear their native language coming out from the windows speaking the wonderful works of God. It was spoken in their normal language that they were hearing, but the source of the words and language was God purifying the souls being born again of His Spirit Jesus spoke of Acts 2:5-11.

The truth about being born of the Spirit, Nicodemus, is the faith, trusting, and yielding to God’s Holy wind breathing upon a repented person, uniting their soul with God’s Spirit in oneness, speaking the words and language God wants spoken, breaking the last spiritual chain of evil held by the fleshly tongue upon a sinner’s soul. Only God can tame the tongue if we freely choose to trust Him completely.

God breathed upon Adam in his pure state without sin the breathe of life creating a living soul. Through Jesus God breathes upon us once again the breathe of life. Adam laid dead on the ground. We are laid dead under water in baptism in Jesus name. Adam came to life after God’s breathe. We come to a new and redeemed life by God’s purifying breathe of life once again through Jesus Christ.

Nicodemus and all of us today, if we want to be born again it must be by the creation of God and nothing outside of that. Adam was born by God’s creation both body and spirit. The man Jesus was born by God’s creation and design. This is how we are born again only through God’s creation. Jn. 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

We are born again by God creating a fleshly body for Himself to dwell in to redeem us from death, hell, and the grave Heb. 2:14 . Nicodemus, Jesus sitting in front of you is the salvation creation God made for the second water birth and the second Spirit birth. Your faith is to trust the man Jesus to be born again from the watery grave and the infilling Spirit of redemption.

You and I are the Nicodemus of our time, sitting there before the words of God calling us into the creation of salvation path of being born again. God is the air around you and His wind could come upon you as He has done over the many thousands of years of believers. For God/Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Let the power of the blood that is in Jesus name wash away all your sins in water baptism and be like many believers praying patiently for the gift of the Holy Ghost to come upon you speaking the words and language God wants you to speak as a sign of the sound of His Holy wind blowing upon you and in you. You will never be the same and life will be totally different in His fellowship.

If In This Life

1 Cor. 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

What is in this life that is miserable? In this life our eyes see, our ears hear, our hands touch, our tongue tastes, and our nose smells all kinds of different things. We are born busy interacting with this life. The spectrum of emotions hits us in waves of highs, mediums, and lows. Our brain is busy with processing all the sights, sounds, feelings, tastes, and aromas. In this life that is our fleshly body reacting to the physical interactions. This is the life we know within ourselves.

What is in this life outside of ourselves? When we look out through our eyes that are recording the people, places, and things, we come to know the conclusion that things are not permanent. A tree in the neighborhood that once stood strong is now gone because of a strong wind, or cut down for a house to be built there. We see our grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles growing older and slower. Our same age cousins, friends, and class mates change along with us. Everything is fading away with time.

We have a grandparent that passes away, seeing the funeral, and the burial service. We see them no more. The other grandparent passes away. Mom and Dad are starting to look like our grandparents. We get married, have children, who were us when we were small, and we become our parents, the aunts, the uncles, and then grandparents. A coming and going in this life.

In this life our loved ones do not stay with us permanently. In this life the truth is no matter how good things are they change and pass away with time. Having hope in this life only has a dead end street of misery with us saying goodbye to the things we love. Hope is this life only?

1 Cor. 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” This Bible scripture even implies placing all our hope as a follower of Jesus Christ in this world only and stopping here is still a miserable ending. There is something beyond this world to place our total hope on that is the opposite of misery. What is beyond this life? Do we know? Do we see it? Are we looking for this hope to encourage us? A born again Christian cannot stop their hope in this life only to be happy.

The word miserable implies gloom, sad, pathetic, tragic, etc. The opposite of miserable implies cheerful, happy, and joyful. While we may experience moments of cheerfulness, happiness, and joyfulness in this life we know it is only a passing memory. Everything in this life is temporary, including people. You pull up memory that you cherish with great fondness, but they are no longer here physically and sadness sets in.

The two things God pointed out to me in this scripture was 1 Cor. 15:19 If in this life only we have hope… we are of all men most miserable.” If in this life only we have hope we are all of mankind most miserable. In “this life only we have hope“? While we are in this life should we be looking somewhere else for life? What is outside this life? Is there something past this life? Placing our hope in this life will bring misery?

I have thanked God for so many things in this life. Take a pause and what is the first thing that pops in your mind as a happy or joyful thing you have encounter in your past that brought a smile to your face and a laughter from deep within you. You and I have memories of people, places, and things that have brought joy and thankfulness to have them in our lives. The older we become the more we love and cherish those things in this life thanking God for allowing them to cross our paths.

Have you ever just stopped and thank God for the beautiful sunrise, the blue sky, the fall colored leaves, and many other natural things? I have thanked God when a project goes well. I have thanked God to be able to see, walk, and talk considering my fellow mankind bound by wheel chairs, bedridden, and using seeing eye dogs. I have gone through the category of memories of my relatives and families being grateful to God they were in my life and still grateful.

We are all extremely attached to the people, places, and things in this life. I never considered thanking God for the spiritual life. God gave Adam and Eve this whole world to enjoy, but He gave them something else. God gave mankind a spiritual life. I thank God I have and you have a spiritual life that will not pass away. We have a side to us that no other recorded creation in all creations in beginning received from God such as you and I have.

There is hope we are not stuck with misery, gloom, sad, pathetic, and tragedy in this life only. In this life we have moments of joy and happiness, but it is also filled with different levels of afflictions. The aging process starts taking away how healthy you feel, adding back pains, muscles pains, slow recoveries, and many other issues you cannot stop the body from evolving into. You may not have that now, but you can see it in others around you and don’t be naïve your body is heading in their direction.

There is hope we are not stuck saying a permanent goodbye to our loved ones. In this life it is permanent we will not see them living before as they did in this world, but because of having a spiritual side we can look forward to seeing them again. When they die hope is taken away from us, but hope is restored in the spiritual life to come.

I thank God for giving us our spiritual side so we can go beyond this life to once again see our loved ones, to see the skies of heaven, and the eternal dwelling places. There will be no more misery, gloom, sadness, pathetic things, and tragedies in the spiritual realm God has created for us. He gave us a spiritual side to live forever and not to be depressed in placing our hope in this world and this life only.

The hope is there inside you. No matter your age and battle you are facing. You have to fight the depressing thoughts of your situation trying to take you over, not feeling needed anymore, and/or feeling useless. You have an eternal spirit looking out through your eyes right now reading these words and the ability to look out through the sky to an endless hope of joy in the life with God who loves you. You have an inward spiritual person who can be renewed everyday in the fellowship with God. The end of this world is not your ending.

1 Cor. 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” You who are reading this may not be of an old age, but the truth remains the same no matter the age. You are growing older in this life and your fleshly body will perish, die, and pass away. You are becoming your parents, your aunts, uncles, and possibly one day your grandparents. God gave you your inward man that is not going to die. We all will and do face different forms of afflictions. There is no escape of what happens in this life. It rains on the just people and the unjust people.

Your hope in this life will faint and fade away as many as before you, but the real inward spiritual you will live beyond your flesh. The true strength of your hope is in your spiritual connection with God past all the things in this life. The hope that faints and fades away not is in the Spirit.

I have found in this life a spiritual part of me that can and will live beyond the troubles of this world by a gift God gave us. 1 Cor. 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;” In this life the afflictions, troubles, and issues drives us to resolve, adapt, and the reason of what has come upon us. Perspective and understanding keeps things in their rightful place.

We have a spiritual side God gave us that can reach outward beyond this life to receive the wisdom that is from above that James 3:17 …is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” Isn’t that awesome to have that possible eternal resource being renewed day by day if we want it? Our spirit can connect with that pure wholesome wisdom strengthening our life in a way this world never could.

I am thankful everyday for things in this life, but I also have to thank God for giving us a spiritual life that will not pass away. We are in a sense saying, goodbye to each other everyday because we do not know the day or the hour our fleshly body will fails us. In this life the life of the flesh will fail us, but inside the life of this flesh is an eternal spiritual life God made permanent, “…though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day“. God wanted Adam and Eve to live with Him for all eternity as any truly loving father would.

The inward person inside of us being renewed day by day is determined by the focus of our mind, heart, and soul on the choices we make daily. God encourages us to point our hope in the direction of His Spirit and Word because the things in this life are temporary appeasements. 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

I never thought to thank God for giving us our spiritual side. We live so much on a day to day basis dealing with things in this world. It makes it easy to see only this life forgetting a freedom we have in our spiritual life. We have more than our fleshly bodies to live with in this life.

There is a joy that is hard to put into words when you ask, seek, and knock on God’s door. God will give our spirit words of perception and understanding beyond living by the bread of this world alone. God will help our spirit to find what it is looking for even though we expected something different. It is a promise by God that if we knock on His door it shall be opened. Mtt. 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Are those not the most beautiful spiritual words you can read?

Those of you who are faithful in reading the things God shares with me know that I cannot close out without sharing a Biblical truth that this world does not want you to have. I was almost one of those who missed out on this spiritual truth, but God had mercy on me and sent someone to challenge my truth vowed relationship with God. I put all my hope and trust in God’s word and not mans.

And here it is: Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The majority of Christian doctrines/teachings avoid, overlook, or try to explain away this scripture. My asking, seeking, and knocking to God for the pure truth lead me to see, know, and understand this is God’s plan of salvation and everything else outside this is the traditions of mankind.

To activate completely your spiritual side with God is getting your spirit on the inside of the body of Jesus Christ and God’s Spirit getting on the inside of your body with your spirit. This is why Jesus said, Jn. 16:13 Howbeit, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Salvation is simple, yet extremely deep in understanding. You completely repent turning away from your sins and the sins of world that God rejected. You go down under water in baptism saying, “…in the name of Jesus Christ…” for the purpose and reason of applying the blood of Jesus Christ with the power to wash away your sins before God. The final part is receiving the gift with the power of the Holy Spirit of God inside of you that has never changed from what happen to those when it started.

Adam in the beginning was breathed upon by God giving him spiritual life and Adam spoke. We are breathed upon by God once again, a born again of the Spirit birth, making us alive once again by speaking words His Holy Spirit gives us to speak, which will not be in our fleshly natural words, but another language proving as a sign His Spirit has moved inside our bodies with His Spirit.

If God wants you to have this experience would you not want it if He is willing to give it? Look to your spiritual side with God because outside of that all things are temporary. If you put your hope in this life only you will be find the ending most miserable, but your hope in the spiritual walk and talk with God completely satisfying.

May God richly bless you in His fellowship and Word.
