We speak several words to each other every day, but mixed in our much speaking we have what we would call key words. As an example: “I was going to the store.” the key word is “was” because it reveals I did not go to the store. Have you ever thought about key words from God’s side? We are his offspring so if we speak key words of hints and revelation did we not get this characteristic from Him, our Father? Now, this is the cool part when reading or listening to God’s word purposely trying to catch the key words of God.

“Key” words makes me think “what is a key”? A key simply is something we use to insert into something that is locked and unlocking it so we can access it. Key words together mean to me words that unlock, reveal, and make accessible understanding and perceiving. Like the example from above “was” reveals a change of plans of going to the store.

Now, to God’s word with the adventurous challenge from God in Is. 55:8 “My thoughts are not your thoughts…” 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my…thoughts than your thoughts.”

Jn 8:7 The scene is where a woman committed adultery, laying at the feet of Jesus and the law was the punishment was being stoned to death, men challenging Jesus of his opinion of what should be done to her. Jesus said, he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. What are some of the key words that unlock the understanding Jesus was trying to get across? The “he” covers all males, “without sin” says perfectly pure, “let him first” the one that is without sin be the first to start throwing stones at her. The oldest to the youngest starting dropping their stones because of conviction they too were sinners and began leaving. The key words could be possibly for the men tempting Jesus to break what the law says or the key words could have been for the only one among them that was without sin – Jesus. When the only ones left was Jesus and the woman Jesus asked her where were her accusers and she replied there is no man. Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more” Again the key words reveals Jesus being the only one there without sin with the right to pass judgment, and was not just a man, but the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.

The cool part about the word of God that it is to be approached with not just our fleshly brain, but with our spiritual mind because the fleshly part of us cannot clearly see the things of God. Flesh will never be a Christian.
