Death is something we all learn with time. Television does not completely drive the point and the severity of death. We are all somewhat desensitized until we experience death first hand with someone close to us. The experience can be anywhere from a pet to a person seeing the what we perceive to be as a final separation by the power of death.
After someone close to us passes away the sobering reality of death slowly soaks into our minds making us conscious of the power of death. As time goes by we encounter the different methods death uses on those close to us. The realization starts questions inside our own lives on how we will die. The unknowing of how and what happens after death causes different levels of fear.
We have seen death strike from within the bodies of our loved ones. We have seen death strike from the outside the bodies of our loved ones. We have seen the awful diseases inside the bodies taking them away from us. We have seen the horror of outside objects being used to strike our loved ones down.
The younger years of feeling we will live forever fades with time to the reality of the unstoppable and inevitable truth we all are going to die. We are living with death on a daily basis not knowing the when it will strike us ourselves. It is not a matter of “if”, but more a matter of “when”.
We all have had death thoughts whether it was from losing someone close to us or if it was about ourselves. What kind of life have I lived? What will be left behind after I’m gone? I wonder how I will die? I hope it is a peaceful death. The questions and thoughts go on and on about death looming over us.
When it comes to death everyone looks like victims. We are all stuck with death upon our lives. It does not matter if you are a sinner or a saint. We all will die. Death was given the power to take life from us all. It is an inevitable feeling of no escape and stuck with what time will death strike.
DEATH IS STUCK WITH YOU
Have you ever thought about the reverse? Could it be the devil and death is stuck with us? They cannot force us from our bodies unless given permission. They can act all big and bad all of our lives with doing nothing until that moment they are allowed a chance at us, but even at that moment God has something very special for us.
God came in the form of man and faced the devil being tempted in all things like us, but never sinned (Heb. 4:15). The man, Jesus Christ, was God Himself in flesh and blood living a life like we would, but for the purpose of taking away the death debt we owed. Jesus took away the power of death from the devil upon our lives (Heb. 5:14, 15). True, death will still touch us, but it will be only our fleshly body and our eternal spirit will be given a pure body like Jesus (Phil. 3:21) to live in heaven eternally free.
Death and the devil is stuck with us in the sense they can do nothing unless God allows it and even after that we become greater than what we were before. We will always come out more powerful than the whatever the devil and death tried to do to us. They are stuck with us because God has given us power over death, hell, and the grave through Jesus Christ.
Death and the devil is stuck with us because Jesus the man went through all things in our place dying, being buried, and rising again from the grave with the power over all things (Matt. 28:18). Death may claim our bodies, but it will crumble in his hands as a false victory falling through his fingers as dust in the wind leaving him with nothing and no victory.
WHO IS STUCK WITH WHO
Death is a form of separation. We have lived with death separating us from people we love and admire. Death takes them from us and we can no longer see them in this world, but by only the memories they left behind within us.
The question we must face is “Who is stuck with who?” Jesus gives us the power over death, being buried, and the afterlife of hell through him by our choice of choosing his plan of salvation. Jesus made us a way/path, gave us the truth, and the life to make it to heaven with the Father. If we do not choose Jesus then we do not have the power to free ourselves from death, being buried, and the afterlife of hell.
“Who is stuck with who” is determined by our choice. We are born in this life already as slaves with the fear of death (Heb. 5:15) striking us down at any time with no power to stop it, but Jesus came along to change the options for us. Your freedom of choice is a powerful eternal decision.
The man part of God absorbed all the sins of the world (2 Cor. 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin…”) while dying on the cross in our place. This is where death is stuck with those who choose Jesus. The man part of God, Jesus Christ, did not die until death was given permission (Mk. 15:37, 39; Luke 23:46; Jn. 19:30). This is where we see death as horrible, but the after affects superseded everything else that happened before (1 Cor. 15:54 “…Death is swallowed up in victory.“).
With Jesus in your life the devil and death are stuck with you. Without Jesus in your life you are stuck with the devil and death tormenting you forever. You have the power of choice that reverses who is stuck with who.
Jesus took the three things of death, the grave, and hell swallowing them up inside his blood restoring all that choose him to a place that the devil and death are stuck with them until God calls them home. Who is stuck with who?
UNSTICKING YOURSELF
You can have the control of the devil and death swallowed up through Jesus by applying his blood and restoring your spirit with the power of his Spirit. The being stuck with death will change to death being stuck with you a child of God born again.
The three things of death, the grave, and hell was swallowed by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, the man part of God. Jesus left with Peter on how to apply the three counter measures God put in place for us to be free. When the people asked Peter what they must do he said, Repent, be baptized in Jesus name, receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37, 38).
Repentance on our part starts in motion the power over the sting of death, which is sin (1 Cor. 15:56) forming an agreement/contract between us and God. Water baptism in Jesus name applies the blood that is in that name washing away all our sins and symbolizes us being buried with Jesus (Rom. 6:4). The receiving of the Holy Spirit is God’s seal of promise for our inheritance (Eph. 1:13, 14) and giving us a guide in life to lead us into all truth (Jn. 16:13).
It is very simple to be saved reversing the fear of death. We repent, we are baptized in water in Jesus name, and receive God’s Spirit (Acts 2:38). Death and the devil is stuck with us until God calls us home.
NOT IF BUT WHEN
With Jesus in your life the devil and death are stuck with you being under God’s protection. Without Jesus in your life you are stuck with the devil and death tormenting you forever. A child who dies before the age of accountability only dies in the body to us, but never dies to God. They pass living from this life into living life with God. After the age of accountability the born again child of God does not die, but by body only with their spirit living on in God.
Our bodies will give up our spirits. Your body and mine will have to let go of our spirit and in that moment the final decision will be made for us who is stuck with who forever. Death will force our body to let go of our spirit either by something inside our body or the use of objects outside our body to force the release of our spirit. In that release will the sting of death be swallowed up by the blood of Jesus or will the sting of death hold you for eternity separated from God?
Live life more abundantly and free making the devil and death stuck with you under God’s protection and when you leave this world go directly from life to life. May God bless you and yours is my prayer.
